Description
Adam Repa - Pianist Adam Repa is a multi-talented young artist excelling in musical performance, musical and poetic composition, and drawing. He completed his Bachelor’s in Music from University of York in 2015, and continues to work in several spheres of the arts. Born in Warsaw, Poland, he started playing the piano at 7 years old, and gave his debut performance at Żelazowa Wola (Chopin’s birthplace), at the age of 10. Since then Adam has performed throughout Poland and the UK, including charity concerts, university recitals and performances for the Chopin Society (members’ matinées). His young career boasts numerous highlights, especially in the Cambridge area. He won the Cambridge Competitive Music Festival in 2011 and played Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with orchestra at West Road Concert Hall. In 2015 he was the Winner of The Mrs Sunderland Music Festival in Huddersfield. Adam is in great demand to perform works of contemporary composers, and has often been asked to record them. On many occasions he has provided quality background music at corporate events, and participated as an accompanist for ABRSM exams. Among his teachers Adam lists Joanna Kocik, Siu Chui Li, Gareth Owen, Joan Dixon, Martin Roscoe and Andrzej Jasiński. He has recently completed his Master of Arts in Performance degree at the Royal Academy of Music, studying piano with Sulamita Aronovsky.
